For 400 years, this superb restaurant in the 5th arrondissement has been delighting the palates of the most discerning sovereigns. La Tour d’Argent is proud to have welcomed all the crowned heads of Europe (and even the world) to its table. From King Henri III to the Sun King to Napoleon, who also had a habit of dining here… All have flocked to sample the restaurant’s fine cuisine since 1582. And maybe you will too this summer…

Dream in one of IDF’s most beautiful royal chapels

The Château de Fontainebleau is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable pieces of French heritage. Situated around 1 hour from Paris, it’s awe-inspiring for anyone lucky enough to visit during the year. But did you know that it also contains one of the most beautiful chapels in the Ile-de-France region (and indeed, the whole country?). A treasure you can visit all year round, thanks to guided tours… And believe us, it’s worth the trip!

This weekend, set course for the pretty village of Villennes-sur-Seine. This is where you’ll find one of the most enchanting spots in the Yvelines: Parc du Docteur Fauvel. A charming place full of surprises. As you stroll along, you’ll come across a lush, moss-covered grotto and a peaceful waterfall, all set against a backdrop… totally artificial, of course, but stunning!

Among the capital’s unsuspected nuggets, we’ve unearthed an absolutely marvelous library for you: the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève. This 500-year-old building is a treasure trove of humanities and literature. Closed for the summer season, the library reopens its doors on August 18. A listed masterpiece to be admired free of charge all year round!

Rediscover The Little Prince in an immersive odyssey at Atelier des Lumières

Looking for a fun break in July? Head to the Paradox Museum, a temple of illusion 2.0 nestled at 38 boulevard des Italiens. In the middle of August, it’s time to get back into your science program. This summer, don’t miss the Grandes Eaux Noctures at the Château de Versailles. You’ll see more than 500 drones light up the sky, as well as a breathtaking pyrotechnics show. An enchanting show not to be missed!

Fancy a movie? All summer long, treat yourself to a movie at La Belle Étoile! There are plenty of spots to discover all over the capital. Our favorite? The rooftop of the Hotel Paradisio, which offers “Le film du dimanche soir”, free admission with reservation.
Picnic at Buttes-Chaumont
Why not take advantage of this sunny month to organize a little picnic? It’s a summer activity we love to organize when the weather’s nice in Paris. All you have to do is prepare some sandwiches (or buy some),lay out your best tablecloth, and you’re ready to go!
