But for the more leisurely among you, it’s time to get out your walking shoes, because today we’re offering you a beautiful itinerary in the heart of the Vexin nature park.
A warm-weather hike in the heart of Vexin
After a tour of the banks of the Loing the treasures of the Vallée de Chevreuse vallée de Chevreuse or followed in the footsteps of the Impressionists, it’s time to head north-west of Paris, to the bucolic Vexin regional park. This long but relatively accessible and easy itinerary takes you on a beautiful ride through the Oise, its small villages and forests. A great getaway for families, couples or friends.
Departing from Chaponval station, this beautiful walk takes you through some charming villages. Auvers-sur-Oise (closely associated with a certain Vincent Van Gogh), the village of La Nazé or Nesles-la-Vallée: these picturesque villages will punctuate your getaway. Through fields, along the banks of the Oise and along the GR1, this hike will enchant you all the way to your finish at l’Isle-Adam.
Along the way, enjoy the peace and quiet of the area, but don’t forget to admire the many points of interest along the way, such as the Château de Léry, the Église Saint-Symphorien or the auberge Ravoux. And once you’ve completed the 17 kilometers of this enchanting hike, why not reward yourself with a drink at a café in l’Isle-Adam?
With a length of 17.1 kilometers, this hike will take you an average of 4h30 from station to station. Accessible to all walkers, it has a low gradient and accessible paths. But don’t forget to bring good shoes and several liters of water.
