There’s no doubt about it, it’s summer! If you’re staying in Paris in August, or if you’d like to take advantage of the month to visit the capital, here are our suggestions for great fun during the month!
Visit the Musée Grévin by night on August 3
On August 3, visit the Musée Grévin for a most unusual nocturne during the monthly ” Nuit au Musée” event, surely the strangest experience you’ll ever have in a museum. The concept: as night falls, the wax statues come to life, inviting you to take part in a series of wild and wacky activities, divided into 7 tableaux, during an evening out of your comfort zone, where you’ll have to show off your hidden talents. Dancing, singing, conjuring, photography, fortune-telling… We warn you: it’s going to be a short night!
Test Paris’ new indoor water park
Looking for a summer getaway? Head to Futuroscope! The park has opened its brand-new immersive indoor water park. You’ll enjoy 8 slides, a great outdoor area for sunny days, and three ultra-immersive universes… Sets are projected via an absolutely splendid light show! We recommend a visit.
Rediscover Paris’s architectural heritage
This summer, rediscover the Church of Saint-Eustache in a new light with the immersive Luminiscence experience. This sound and light show, featuring digital projections on the church’s facade and a soundscape on the theme of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, reveals all the secrets of this architectural gem in the heart of Les Halles. What’s more, it’s a great way to escape the heat, and night-time sessions from 10pm onwards are 20% off. The only catch:the experience ends on August 17!
Take part in a collective virtual reality experience
Tremble, Parisians! Until September 15, a brand-new immersive horror experience is taking place at Galeries Montparnasse. Based on the great myths of terror, this game lets the public become the hero of a story experienced (and suffered) in the first person. Using one of the world’s most advanced immersive and virtual reality technologies, 90 participants can simultaneously walk through the corridors of Hotel Dracula and discover the horror scenario behind each of its room doors.

Let yourself be hypnotized
Highly Instagrammable spot alert! The Paris region is home to one of the world’s most important collections of optical and kinetic art (an artistic movement based on the aesthetics of movement). In the heart of the Fondation Cherqui, discover over 5,000 optical works. A unique and absolutely unusual place (the former pharmacy of Jean Cherqui, initiator of generic drugs in the 80s and a great collector), perfect for adding color to your Instagram or Tik Tok feed.
An immersive exhibition for kids
In August, we’ll also be taking the opportunity to learn and marvel at immersive exhibitions. Right now, at the Atelier des Lumières in Paris, immerse yourself in the Egypt of the Pharaohs. Something to captivate the whole family!
