The Olympics are just around the corner! The 2024 Olympics will be a time of challenges: the opening ceremony will take place close to the Seine, with some sports will be represented for the first time and the games will be fully parity for the first time in their histories. The Olympic Games will bring together athletes and fans from all over the world. Around 150,000 visitors are expected! All of which will greatly disrupt public transport. To make up for this, the government has set up an interactive map to help you anticipate your journeys.
Paris 2024 Olympic Games: an interactive map to help you plan your public transport journeys
From Friday, July 26 to Sunday, August 11, 2024, the Olympic Games will be held, followed by the Paralympic Games from August 28 to September 8, 2024. During these periods, Paris is likely to be even more impassable. To avoid repercussions in your daily life, the government has created an interactive map on anticiperlesjeux.gouv.fr.
The principle? Click on the city that applies to you, then enter your line or station. The map will then show you, using a very precise color code, if your line will be disrupted, specifying the date and time:.
The map also shows you the different Olympic routes that will be used during the games, with prohibited motorized access and the different competition venues. Last but not least, the site also suggests alternative ways of getting around (by bike, on foot, by bus, etc.). Maybe that’ll help you during these exceptional sports weeks!
