As we recently reported on Paris Secret, the Centre Pompidou decided to pull out all the stops before its major closure for renovation. After a fabulous fireworks show, the Parisian institution is teaming up with the Because label today and tomorrow to organize what promises to be the biggest party in the museum’s history. Two days and two nights of DJ sets, concerts, masterclasses, projections, performances and immersive experiences, all on 8 floors… In short, a veritable marathon to celebrate Beaubourg one last time.
Center Pompidou closes its doors with a musical extravaganza
While admission to the daytime events was free, both nights sold out in record time (obviously!). It has to be said that the line-up is particularly enticing: Shygirl, Ed Banger, Justice, MYD, Pedro Winter, Sébastien Tellier… For all those who didn’t get their precious tickets, there’s some good news. You’ll still be able to enjoy part of the event from the comfort of your own living room. But how? Thanks to a live webcast on the Centre Pompidou’s YouTube channel.
Stream performances live, free of charge this weekend
The livestream program for “Because Beaubourg – Live from The Centre Pompidou” includes a line-up worthy of the biggest festivals. On Friday, performances by Sébastien Tellier, Keziah Jones, Catherine Ringer and Asa Moto. On Saturday, it’s the turn of Ed Banger Records, Tatyana Jane, Christine and the Queens, Shygirl, MYD, and an unprecedented B2B between Pedro Winter and Erol Alkan to rock the screens and your soundsystem.
This free digital event, accessible to all and available live, will allow you to say a final “goodbye” to the museum, before it closes its doors for several years of renovations. In fact, the concerts start today, Friday, at 3pm. So hurry up!
