If you’re a resident of the 18th arrondissement, or simply a kebab aficionado always on the lookout for the best addresses in Paris, you’re bound to have heard of Gemüse. Indeed, behind this little green storefront, a flock of gourmands flock every day, ready to get their hands on one of the capital’s best kebabs. We’ll tell you why (and we’re not the only ones) we love Gemüse!
Gemüse, the best kebab in Paris?
From traditional tomato and onion salad in homemade bread, to crispy bread doner, to gyros in a good pita: we can’t get enough of a good kebab in Paris. And today, we’re taking a look at Berlin kebabs, and in particular at one of its best representatives in Paris; we named Gemüse, which has been distilling good Berliner kebap in Paris since 2018!
Homemade kebab skewers, freshly baked bread and grilled vegetables: the three founding pillars of Gemüse, a kebab that aims to be authentic, inspired in particular by the Turkish and German tradition of this dish so appreciated by Parisians.
Served in a Turkish pide bread made every morning by a baker, or as a galette, Gemüse’s kebab is traditionally served with salad, tomatoes and cucumber, parsley, sumac red onions, marinated red cabbage, a special blend of grilled vegetables, all topped with sauce and fresh cheese. And of course, the star of the sandwich, the homemade marinated chicken spit, gives the dish its gourmet flavor. A halloumi version and a vegetarian version are also on the menu, to satisfy everyone!
A good kebab wouldn’t be a kebab without fries, so you can count on the house fries, sprinkled with herbs and spices and dipped in a good homemade sauce. While the traditional recipe is always a no-brainer, you can also opt for the kebap of the month, inspired by the cuisines of countries around the world!
A well-known spot among local residents, it’s certainly one of the best addresses in the 18th arrondissement. And if Berlin kebabs are all the rage in 2025, Gemüse was one of the forerunners, opening its doors in 2018.
So, let’s give it a try!
