As we all know, holding the Olympic Games will also bring its share of inconveniences for Parisians. From July 18, more than a week before the opening ceremony of this major sporting event on July 26, the security measures in force will mean the closure of 17 Paris metro stations.
Which Paris stations will be closed before the Olympics?
While the extension of line 14 extension to Orly will be completed in June, according to Valerie Pécresse, there’s another news item concerning the Paris metro that’s likely to make people cringe. Last week, Laurent Nuñez, the capital’s police prefect, unveiled the details of the extensive security arrangements that would be put in place for the Paris Games. In this context, all stations within the “anti-terrorist protection perimeter” will have to be closed by July 18.
