Who would have thought that this old station nestling at the gateway to Sèvres, in the 92 department, would be transformed into a place of life and conviviality? Welcome to Bistrot Micheline, a restaurant offering delicious French dishes, sublimated by three-star chefGilles Goujon… An unusual restaurant to discover…
Micheline: the bistro hidden in a former railway station
Built during the 1889 Universal Exhibition, the station enjoyed its heyday, welcoming thousands of travelers every day until 1994… Unfortunately, the station gradually fell into oblivion before closing its doors for good for 30 years… Since then, it has enjoyed a second lease of life as a chic, elegant bistro, masterfully run by three-star chef Gilles Goujon.
In its hushed world, reminiscent of the codes of polo, you’d almost think you were in a private club. Between the paintings of hunting scenes hanging on the walls, the trophies and the patinated leather armchairs, you don’t know where to turn! And yet, despite the stuffy atmosphere, you’ll be greeted by a friendly, no-nonsense welcome! On sunny days, you can enjoy lunch on the sunnyterrace.
On the main course, you’ll love the extra-melting Marengo veal sauté with its tomato concassé and rice pilaf, or the cod brandade, which dusts off the genre. Dessert fans will love the warm Tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream. Micheline’s originality lies in the fact that every dish is designed to be shared. There’s no need to hesitate long before ordering. Traditional, comforting dishes that change with the weeks and seasons.
Micheline is a little-known old-fashioned bistro nestled in the heart of a historic site. An address that ticks all the boxes for a great time!
