This Monday, October 9, on the occasion of the 2023 vintage of the Trophées Pudlo des Bistrots gilles Pudlowski honored a fine restaurant in Paris’s 5th arrondissement. Au Moulin à Vent was named best bistro of 2023! Formerly known as “Chez Henri”, Au Moulin à Vent is one of Paris’s most authentic bistros. Its beautiful old-fashioned counter, banquettes, low ceiling and tablecloths are a testimony to this. At the head of this establishment? Théophile Moles, ex of Bizetro and Gavroche. This thoroughbred innkeeper has taken over this legendary bistro in the 5th arrondissement, preserving its soul and lowering prices.
The ” Chef of the Year” award
This year, to meet the Chef of the Year, head to Le Cyrano, a bistro/theater in Paris’s 17th arrondissement. This is where Charleyne Valet works. In the heart of this Art Nouveau bistro, the young chef of character revisits traditional dishes in a playful way. Shall we meet there?
