Do you like outdoor movie theaters? That’s great, because the 13th arrondissement city hall is launching its own in several parks and gardens throughout the arrondissement, from July 24 to August 14, 2026. And the best part is that the screenings are completely free!
A free outdoor movie theater in Paris’s 13th arrondissement
For a free movie screening under the stars, head to the 13th arrondissement, which is hosting the event in several parks and gardens this year. Every Friday night, from July 24 to August 14, you can watch or rewatch films “from here and elsewhere” with your family in three of the arrondissement’s green spaces.
On July 24, at Choisy Park, Wes Anderson’s fabulous *The Grand Budapest Hotel* will take you on a journey. On July 31, at Paul Grimault Square, *Spirited Away* will light up the children’s eyes. On August 7, head to the François Giroud Garden to watch Wim Wenders’ *Lisbon Story*. And finally, on August 14 at Choisy Park, Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s *The Extraordinary Journey of the Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet* will be screened.
And you don’t need to make a reservation to attend a screening! Access to the lounge chairs is free (subject, of course, to availability).
Locations: Parc de Choisy, Square Paul Grimault, Jardin Françoise Giroud
