When summer starts to show its face, we often take the opportunity to enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities! Swimming, of course, having a drink on a terrace, or taking a stroll through the parks in the cool evening air. But when night falls, our favorite activity is catching a movie under the stars. That’s perfect timing, because one of the most beautiful outdoor movie theaters is opening in a few days: head to the Monnaie de Paris for it!
The Monnaie de Paris’s outdoor movie theater reopens its doors
In July, movie lovers will have the pleasure of discovering (or rediscovering) this magnificent venue over four evenings, from July 1 to 4. It’s your chance to enjoy the great classics of French cinema (and more), all with one thing in common: comic books.
Snuggled into a comfortable deck chair, you’ll be able to watch (or rewatch)*Persepolis*, *OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies*, *Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra*, or even Hayao Miyazaki’s *Howl’s Moving Castle*, all of which will be screened on a giant screen in the museum’s magnificent inner courtyard starting at 9:30 p.m.

And if you arrive around 7 p.m., you can enjoy free live music as well as food trucks for a bite to eat before your show. Tickets for the movie cost 8 euros per person (and 6 euros for reduced-rate tickets).
