If you’re a regular visitor to the 3rd arrondissement, and especially the Marché des Enfants Rouges, you’ve undoubtedly heard of Alain Miam Miam. More than a decade ago, Alain Roussel set up his stall in the heart of the capital’s oldest covered market and was already delighting Parisians. Today, buoyed by his success, the craftsman has opened his own boutique in the heart of rue Charlot, and it’s not unusual to see a long queue outside his shop every day.
So what’s all the fuss about at Alain Miam Miam? The person concerned will surely reply: “the product! Indeed, Alain’s main concern is the quality and freshness of his ingredients. And while you can enjoy galettes, cornets and other pastries, it’s undoubtedly the famous sandwich that attracts all the attention.
In a loaf of bread generously topped with olive oil, choose your vegetables from avocado, pickled onions, lettuce, tomatoes and mushrooms. We add either Comté or Cantal cheese and then a meat from a selection of hams, smoked beef, chicken breast or farmhouse pastrami. That’s all there is to it, and you’ll leave with one of the best sandwiches in Paris!
