As you know, October 31—this coming Saturday—is Halloween. Unfortunately, however, following the unrest caused by rioters on October 17, a curfew is still in effect in certain areas. Here are the affected areas and the curfew hours!
A Halloween Curfew in Paris
This year, Halloween celebrations will have to be suspended in certain areas of Paris. At République and the Forum des Halles, the curfew will be in effect from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. This applies to the nights of October 31 through November 1 and November 1 through November 2.
It applies to both adults and minors! Of course, exceptions may be made for residents (upon presentation of proof of residence), workers, and public officials.
Minors not accompanied by at least one of their legal guardians have a much more restricted time frame! They will not be allowed to be out alone in the affected areas from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the three nights from October 30 to November 2. Authorities will be paying particular attention to compliance with this restriction in the Étoile, Champs-Élysées, Madeleine, Concorde, and Saint-Lazare Station areas.
The Hauts-de-Seine department has also announced a curfew for unaccompanied minors, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., on the nights of October 31 through November 1 and November 1 through 2, around the four shopping centers: CNIT, So Ouest, Qwartz, and Les Quatre Temps.
