Christmas Tree 2025: The most beautiful of gifts
This year, the boulevard Haussmann department store has entrusted its fairytale world to illustrator Jeanne Detallante, known for her work with Carven, Prada and Miu Miu. Beneath the iconic Galeries Lafayette dome, the famous 16-metre Christmas tree takes pride of place, unveiling its new luminous finery. Draped in 560 kg of ribbon, 8 km of LED garlands, 300 kg of fabric and the artist’s illustrations, this monumental Christmas tree adorned with a red ribbon is sure to make you want to unwrap it like a present!
Christmas tree 2024: 130 years of Galeries Lafayette
To celebrate 130 years of Christmas, Galeries Lafayette presented a glittering Christmas tree imagined by Kevin Germanier, a designer involved in the Olympic Games shows. In 2024, under the Coupole, this luminous work fascinated young and old alike, with its 20,000 programmable LEDs.
Christmas tree 2023: “The Christmas of my dreams” at Galeries Lafayette
In 2023, Galeries Lafayette called on designer Charles de Vilmorin to imagine a Christmas full of dreams and fantasy. From the windows to the big tree, he brought to life a surreal universe inspired by the psychedelic worlds of Tim Burton and Salvador Dalí. Under the Coupole, the XXL tree was transformed into a vibrant work of art, blending fashion and childhood imagery. In short, a dreamlike, poetic Christmas, a true invitation to magic.
2022: “Planète Sapin” at Galeries Lafayette
In 2022, Galeries Lafayette Haussmann embarked visitors on an immersive “Planète Sapin” expedition. Dressed in green and blue and topped with a faceted ball, the Nordmann fir evoked a journey to another planet. Decorated with unusual objects, it intrigued as much as it inspired. And every 30 minutes, a sound and light animation brought the tree to life, offering visitors a moment of pure enchantment.
2021: “1,2,3… Christmas” with an astronaut Santa Claus

In 2021, Galeries Lafayette unveiled a magical tree decorated with toys, including an adorable, mischievous rabbit. Under the dome of the Parisian department store, an astronaut Santa Claus twirled around, adding a touch of fantasy and magic. 2020: “Le voyage de Noël” at Galeries Lafayette

In 2020, Galeries Lafayette paid tribute to aviator Jules Védrines, who landed on their roof in 1919. 2019: the Galeries Lafayette Christmas beehive
For 2019, Galeries Lafayette has transformed itself into a veritable Christmas beehive. Under the Coupole, an immense ornate fir tree was watched over by a majestic Queen Bee. Every 30 minutes, the tree came to life under the flight of luminous bees. A sublime golden ambiance and an enchanting show that made the b(u)zzzz!

In 2017, Galeries Lafayette presented a gourmet Christmas tree, designed as a huge cake decorated with sweets. Surrounded by balloons and giant sweets, it enchanted sweet-lovers.
