After several successful editions in Switzerland, the Swiss Christmas Village has set up shop at La Villette for the first time outside the country. From now until December 28, 2025, the Esplanade around the Fontaine aux Lions will be transformed into a veritable village of chalets, featuring hand-crafted creations, Swiss, French and international specialities, as well as great gift ideas, for a warm, gourmet Christmas.
Entrance to the market is generally €5, including a drink. But the good news is that admission is free all day on Mondays and Tuesdays, and from Wednesday to Friday until 5 pm. Outside these times, access is either via a ticket purchased online, which includes a drink (mulled wine, hot chocolate, beer, house wine or soft drinks) and line-cut access, or via a ticket purchased directly on site, which includes the drink only. By booking now, you can take advantage of the best prices on attractions and drinks packages before they run out, and gain access to the Christmas Market’s must-see activities – the ice rink, Ferris wheel and carousel – to delight young and old alike. The Swiss Christmas Village is more than just a market – it’s a place to meet, share and discover. The enchantment continues with the glittering skating rink, the traditional carousel, the Ferris wheel and a chalet specially dedicated to children, where they can play, read and enjoy adapted activities, for a moment of pure wonder. Creative workshops, entertainment, concerts and shows immerse the youngest visitors in the warm, festive atmosphere of Christmas, while older visitors warm up with seasonal delicacies – mulled wine, Swiss chocolate, Zurich specialities and handcrafted creations from Atelier Zurich, not forgetting the unmissable fondues.

This year, Zurich Fondue Chalet is the emblematic venue of the Market– a 100-seat restaurant in the center of the village, where you can enjoy fondues and Swiss specialties in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a menu designed by Michelin-starred Chef Benjamin Plsek and featuring several variations on traditional fondues. A true symbol of sharing and conviviality, this chalet is the market’s essentialmeeting point – a place where you can extend your stroll over a comforting dish and a glass of mulled wine.
The market also offers the possibility of reservingmenus and tables in advance, including for groups wishing to celebrate their Christmas dinners at the Zurich Fondue Chalet. To extend the festivities, the Guinguette de Noël welcomes visitors in a friendly, musical atmosphere, with no need for prior registration.
