Sometimes, all you need is a little height to appreciate a place even more. Perched high in the hills of Suresnes, Au Père Lapin restaurant offers breathtaking views over the Hauts-de-Seine. In this all-vegetation, guinguette-style address, you’ll discover generous cuisine, prepared with care and attention to detail in an enchanting setting over 100 years old. And what’s more, with a totally new and confidential view of the Eiffel Tower!
A century-old bucolic restaurant close to Paris

For 160 years, this restaurant has been delighting gourmets with its generous family dishes. Nestled in Suresnes, not far from Mont Valérien, this guinguette owes its name to the construction of the Mont Valérien fort. The fort required earthworkers, known as rabbits. In fact, the famous rodent has been cooked here for over 100 years as a tribute to them.

On its verdant terrace, time seems to stand still. Sheltered from the sun and prying eyes, you’ll enjoy innovative cuisine such as grilled octopus with creamy hummus and delicious squid ink. If you’re a meat lover, we recommend the leg of lamb steak with a pan-fried flat coconut and shallot confit. A real delight! Finally, you can’t miss the Paris-Brest for two. It took chef Guillaume Delage several years to find the perfect balance between sweetness and deliciousness. Crunchy and melt-in-your-mouth, this dessert is lighter than it looks, and will end your meal in the best possible way.

With the heat on, we can’t recommend lunching on its lovely terrace, where you can catch a glimpse of our beloved Iron Lady. In short, Au Père Lapin is a nugget of an address where you’ll feel right at home. A charming, historic restaurant to discover all summer long (and beyond).
