It’s not easy to find nice places to enjoy summer in Paris without it being crowded! So, like everyone else, we’re looking to get away from it all for a while, taking advantage of nearby lakes and water parks to cool off a bit. But we’ve got something better for you: a magnificent, colorful swimming pool at just 1 euro for 4-18 year-olds from Est Ensemble. Now that’s a good deal!
A colorful pool just outside Paris, for just one euro in August
The Edouard Herriot swimming pool in Noisy-le-Sec is a lovely pool built in the late 60s and early 70s. Distinguishable by its large, colorful bay windows, it has a large 25 m pool and a small 16 m pool. Ideal for long swims, depending on your level and ease in the water.
Open every day, even Sundays, the pool is typical of the functional modernism of the 70s. It combines sober brick architecture with a pleasantly luminous space! Completely renovated in 2011, it retains its retro charm while adapting to the needs of its users. With its pop colors, typical of the 70s, the pool will take you back to childhood…

And the icing on the cake: this summer, until August 31, entry to the Est Ensemble pool will cost just one euro for those aged 4 to 18. Thanks to this regional scheme, 11 swimming pools in Seine-Saint-Denis, including this one, are accessible to young people at very low prices. Incidentally, we recently told you about the Tournesol pool in Les Lilas, which also benefits from the same rate. Residents of Est ensemble aged 18 and over will have to pay 3.50 euros for a day’s use of this lovely pool– enough to keep you cool all summer long, without breaking your budget!
