For 20 years, this iconic Parisian pool has offered a unique setting for all Parisian swimmers: the chance to swim on a barge overlooking the Seine. Truly symbolic! Before it closes its doors for good in the spring of 2027, Parisians will still be able to splash around all summer long in Paris’s most unique pool!
Swimming late into the night in Paris
With the heat wave on the horizon, how about a midnight swim (or almost)? To do just that, head to the legendary Joséphine Baker Pool!
You might not know this, but it stays open very late three times a week. In fact, every Monday, Thursday, and Friday, you can enjoy its magnificent pool overlooking the Seine until 10 p.m.! It’s a great way to unwind after work—and, above all, to cool off!
The rest of the week, the pool closes relatively late! On Wednesdays and Thursdays, you can enjoy it until 8 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays, it’s open continuously from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Temperatures in the capital are set to approach 40°C in the coming days… So finding ways to cool off will be more important than ever. As a reminder, due to water leaks and corrosion, the Joséphine Baker Pool will close permanently in 2027… That means you only have a few months left to enjoy it to the fullest before turning the page for good.
