On July 15, the fateful evening of the second World Cup semifinal, Marthe Brejon’s Maradona Pizza Tour is setting up shop at Street Bangkok Étienne-Marcel for a pop-up designed perfectly in the spirit of the evening: soccer, people from around the world, a little spicy sauce, and two pizzas created especially for the occasion.
When Naples Meets Bangkok
The concept behind the Maradona Pizza Touris simple: to use the World Cup as an excuse to bring people together over pizza. From June 11 through July 19, Marthe Brejon is setting up her ovens at the restaurants of chefs she admires, using a specially prepared sourdough dough: five types of flour, a long fermentation, and, of course, hand-kneading.
For this event at Street Bangkok, the menu features a combination that’s quite unusual for Paris: a Neapolitan base, Thai influences, and dishes designed to be enjoyed without overthinking it. The Thai Margherita Pizza keeps the tomato, fior di latte, and sourdough crust, but adds fresh Thai basil and a hot sweet chili dipping sauce.

The other creation takes things a step further: the Pad Kra Pao Pizza, priced at €18. One of the most famous Thai street food dishes is reimagined on a pizza crust, featuring grilled pork with Thai basil, garlic, chili, fior di latte, and house-made Green Ranch sauce.
Alongside the pizzas, Street Bangkok rounds out the evening with its classics: papaya som tam, sweet chili fried chicken, and house-made sauces, as well as mango sticky rice, mango sticky rice ice cream, and mango coconut for dessert. For drinks, BKK Beer, brewed with Deck & Donohue, is perfect for the occasion.
A one-of-a-kind event, an unexpected collaboration, a short menu, a must-see match, and an atmosphere that screams summer: this stop on the Maradona Pizza Tour at Street Bangkok checks all the boxes!
