Do you often take Line 4? Unfortunately for you, service on this line will be particularly disrupted. Starting September 14, one of its stations will be closed for renovation work… for four long months.
Line 4, partially closed for 4 months
Summer vacation is slowly coming to an end, and for some, it’s almost time to go back to school! Starting in September, most Parisians will return to their offices and their daily routines. Unfortunately for riders on Line 4, the return to work won’t be a breeze. From September 14 through December 19, you won’t be able to get off or even get on at the Saint-Michel station. No trains will stop there.

This massive construction project aims to modernize the existing infrastructure while improving passenger comfort. While it’s true that the Saint-Michel station serves one of Paris’s most popular tourist neighborhoods, you’ll have other options for getting there (on foot or by bus).
Please note that only the Saint-Michel metro station is affected! For the RER B and C lines, the Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame station will remain open. As usual, the RATP advises passengers to plan their trips as far in advance as possible! Good luck to everyone.
