A few months ago, we told you about our crush on Impact Berliner, one of Paris’s best kebab places in Paris. After winning over local gourmets in the 11th arrondissement impact has now moved into the 2nd arrondissement and promises to delight everyone in the heart of Paris. See you at 185, rue Saint-Denis!
Berlin street-food comes to Paris
If you’re a fan of kebabs, you’ll be aware that doner has been on a roll in recent years. Served in a large crusty bun, Berlin’s version of the meat sandwich is a favorite with gourmets all over the capital. And while more and more of them are getting in on the act, few establishments can offer a Berliner like Impact. Gone are the traditional tomato and onion salads. Here, crudités are accompanied by delicious grilled vegetables, with carrots, peppers and zucchini taking center stage.
Sprinkled with feta, Impact’s 100% homemade sandwiches are the perfect balance of gourmet pleasure and freshness. Yes, far from all the ideas of a traditional kebab, the bread and ingredients are sourced from bakeries and Rungis Market respectively. All Impact Berliner dishes are made fresh daily. The menu features the classic Berlin doner with marinated chicken, salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, cabbage and fresh herbs. Or try the Berliner, a slightly “pimped” version of the Berliner, with grilled zucchini, eggplant, carrots and peppers. Finally, for our vegan friends, an equally tasty vegan sandwich or bowl version is also available à la carte.
Whatever you choose, you’ll be spoilt for choice with the delicious and surprisingly fresh recipes on offer. In fact, you can accompany your sandwiches with delicious paprika fries and a club mate for a 100% Berlin experience.
