And to please sweet tooths even more, the company also recently unveiled a comforting, generous and original version of the dish: the very daring donut des rois!
Available by click & collect from the brand’s Parisian bakeries on January 10 and 11, this creation consists of a delicious puff pastry babka, topped with a homemade frangipane and smooth vanilla cream combo. The whole thing is topped with the famous donut-style icing that drives many a Parisian gourmand mad. The result is tasty and devilishly generous, earning its place alongside flankie, crookie and flangipane among the most successful hybrid pastries.
