Friends of German-Pratins, a local landmark is playing the expansion card this summer. The iconic café Les Deux Magots has opened the doors of its counters, nestled in the charming rue de Buci, 400 meters from the parent company. On the menu, a whole selection of sandwiches, sales and creations to take away and eat on the go. An address to try out very quickly if you are passing through the 6th arrondissement.
A new takeaway offer from Les Deux Magots
In the family of capital’s legendary cafés it’s hard not to mention Les Deux Magots. A haunt of literary Paris, the café opened its doors in 1884 and has seen the likes of Hemingway, Apollinaire and Aragon pass through its doors. Since then, the tradition has been perpetuated, notably with the café’s literary prizes, and many Parisians and tourists come here for a drink or a meal.
But since July, the house’s food offering has taken a turn, as the 1st of the month marked the opening of Comptoirs Les Deux Magots, a new “contemporary venue with literary charm” acting as a gourmet annex to the first address. A small space nestled on rue de Buci, it can welcome a few lucky diners indoors or on the terrace, while also offering a takeaway service.
On the menu, you’ll find delicious sandwiches made from fresh, sourced ingredients, croque monsieur-style warm squares, as well as delicious mixed salads. For a lunch for two or a picnic comptoirs Deux Magots also offer takeaway baskets filled with goodies. Finally, count on a good selection of tasty desserts, as well as hot and cold drinks, and you’ll get the whole menu!
It’s up to you to try it out!
