Built nearly 200 years ago under Napoleon III,it is quite simply the largest in Paris. And you can explore it by rowboat all year round.
The largest artificial lake in Paris
With its 12 hectares of water, Lac Daumesnil surprises with its size! Built in 1860, it was designed to impress Parisians and offer them a breathtaking spot, as beautiful as the Bois de Boulogne.

Joggers particularly appreciate its 2-kilometer path for a quick run and to enjoy the view. A stroll you can take on foot or on a pony for the little ones! But the best way to explore it is by rowboat. All year round, these charming wooden boats allow you to cross the lake and discover its two lovely islands: Île de Reuilly andÎle de la Bercy. There, you can admire the Temple of Love, a romantic rotunda located on Île de Reuilly, as well as artificial waterfalls and caves.

Available every day without a reservation, these rowboats offer a wonderful escape off the beaten path. Expect to pay €15.00 for a 45-minute cruise that can accommodate 1 to 2 people. Good to know: dogs are welcome on board!
