After introducing you to the most pleasant city in the Île-de-France region, the safest city in France and the coolest neighborhood in the country, we’d like to introduce you to a magnificent street nestled in the heart of the Marais. But not just any street: rue des Gravilliers. Time Out voted it the coolest street in France. And frankly, we can see why!
Rue des Gravilliers: voted coolest in France
If you often hang out in the 3ᵉ arrondissement, you’re probably familiar with this iconic Marais street. The latter, which has existed since the 13th century, is none other than rue des Gravilliers. An enchanting place, appreciated for its fancy restaurants and unique atmosphere. The latter ranks 1ᵉʳᵉ among French streets, succeeding Rue de Belleville, which took this title last year. It even beats last year’s record by taking 13ᵉ place in the world ranking.

So why do we particularly love this street and not another? Certainly because you can find everything your heart desires in a very condensed area: art galleries, little places to shop (cheesemongers, wine merchants, greengrocers…), lunchtime cantinas and restaurants that are making a name for themselves, such as the Derrière brasserie or the Franco-Latino restaurant Finka. In short, there’s plenty to do!
Don ‘t miss the charming Passage des Gravilliers, which links Rue des Gravilliers to Rue Chapon.
