This pretty Seine-et-Marne town, world-famous among cheese lovers for its exceptional Brie, has just been voted the safest town in France this year. With a score of 15.32/20, the town can be proud! It has to be said that this medieval town has pulled out all the stops to ensure that its residents enjoy enhanced security.
In fact, 334 video protection cameras are in constant operation in the city. In 2024, there were just 7! What’s more, the city boasts a crime clearance rate of 50%, which has halved the delinquency rate in 30 years! In the same ranking, we find Ajaccio in South Corsica, with a score of 15.14/20, followed by Asnières-sur-Seine with 14.5/20. A charming town also located on the outskirts of Paris!
To establish this ranking, the newspaper analyzed over 100 cities in France, based on various criteria such as crime rates, damage, burglaries, thefts, and so on.
