A free, magical Christmas market hidden away in Yvelines
When you think “Christmas market”, you might think of La Défense, Les Tuileries, Strasbourg or the magical market at La Villette. And yet, in our beautiful Paris region, there are some hidden gems that deserve a closer look. Such is the case of the Élancourt market in the Yvelines department! Transformed into a veritable Christmas village, the town has a whole host of surprises in store for you this year.
For example, you can take a free ride on the little train between the Christmas village, go ice-skating on its 200 m track and enjoy its wonderful 14 m tree-shaped merry-go-round. You’ll discover 32 traditional chalets where local artisans will show you their products and creations to slip under the tree.
After a gourmet stroll, it’s time for the biggest surprise of all: a free drone and fireworks show. On December 6, a fleet of drones will light up the sky with twinkling, colorful lights! Accompanied by fireworks, the 100% free show promises to be an unforgettable experience for the whole family. Join us on the lawn of the Guy Boniface stadium at 5 p.m. to enjoy a glass of wine or hot chocolate while you wait for the show .
