Every year, the Grand Prix de la baguette de tradition française rewards the capital’s finest craftsmen, based on THE flagship product of our bakeries. This Thursday, March 27, the jury handed down its verdict, and it was a bakery in the 10th arrondissement that took the prize. So, where can you find the best baguette 2025 in Paris?
What’s the best baguette in Paris in 2025?
Last year, the prize for the best baguette in 2024 went to Xavier Netry and his Utopie bakery. Today, you’ll have to head to the 10th arrondissement, and more precisely to rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, to taste the capital’s best bread. The competition has rewarded La Parisienne bakery and artisan Mickaël Reydellet.
Organized by the City of Paris and the Syndicat des Boulangers du Grand Paris, the competition put all participants to the test by providing them with very precise specifications. To be validated, candidates had to produce a loaf weighing between 250 and 270 grams and measuring between 50 and 55 centimetres. Once these prerequisites had been validated, the creations were screened and judged according to a number of criteria, including taste, of course, but also baking, crumb and honeycombing of the baguette.
As a result, La Parisienne bakery was able to claim the title of best baguette in the capital. It was awarded a handsome prize, as well as the privilege of supplying the Élysée Palace for a year! On the podium were Aux Délices du Palais in the 14th arrondissement and Boulangerie Guyot Ferreira in the 5th arrondissement: two addresses if you’re ever on the Left Bank.
