In Paris, this Sunday brunch, with its three all-you-can-eat buffets (seafood, cheeses, and desserts), stands out as a culinary experience to treat yourself to at least once in a lifetime.
A Sunday brunch at a luxury hotel, face to face with the Iron Lady

In 1896, Prince Roland Bonaparte, Napoleon’s grandnephew, had his mansion built at 10 Avenue d’Iéna in Paris. It is within this fully renovated setting that the Shangri-La Paris now stands , one of the capital’s most beautiful luxury hotels. Its grandeur and historical heritage are such that the property is classified as a Historic Monument. Here, French elegance and the art of living blend with Asian cultural heritage, notably through the Shang Palace restaurant, led by the talent of Chef Tony Xu.
It is in this sublime setting, with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, that a most refined Sunday brunch is held. Here, lovers of all-you-can-eat buffets can treat themselves to one of the finest brunches of their lives. On the ground floor, in a sumptuous salon opening directly onto the gardens, with the Iron Lady as a backdrop, opulent buffets catch the eye. But it’s not just a feast for the eyes. While the enchanting setting and gilded details are impressive, the refinement and variety of the dishes are just as remarkable.
Champagne, Kristal caviar, and exceptional buffets

Our culinary journey begins with a glass of champagne, followed by a tasting of the exceptional Kristal caviar from Kaviari. This is followed by a signature egg dish and two fresh, refined appetizers, such as salmon tartare with pomegranate, featuring subtly balanced flavors. Each guest then chooses their main course: roasted pikeperch, buckwheat-scented risotto, or chicken medallions, all served with impeccable attention to detail.
Between courses, guests are free to wander among three exceptional buffets: the seafood buffet, the cheese buffet, and the dessert buffet. The seafood buffet, in particular, impresses with its variety: shrimp, langoustines, oysters, razor clams, cockles, and clams are all on offer. The little extra? All the shellfish are shucked right before our eyes, for hassle-free enjoyment. The spread is accompanied by a wide selection of smoked salmon, blinis, and artisanal sauces, such as the truffle mayonnaise that elevates the shrimp. Nearby, the cheese and charcuterie buffet offers a fine selection: Tomme de Provence, Crottin de Chavignol, truffle cheeses, plus a platter of high-quality charcuterie.
Charming highlights: an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet and a hidden garden

Even though we’re already full, it’s impossible to resist the allure of the dessert buffet, a true gourmet gem. On this display worthy of a painting, pastries, cakes, and macarons come in a palette as beautiful as it is delicious. The great classics of French pastry are offered in miniature versions, allowing us to taste everything. Tarte Tropézienne, flan pâtissier, chocolate or hazelnut desserts, chouquettes, éclairs, and even Saint-Honoré make up an irresistible sweet feast.
These creations are crafted by pastry chef Timothy Lam and his teams, inspired by the seasons and special events. Sweet tooths will particularly enjoy his Fleur de Vanille Yule log, undoubtedly one of the best of the season, now available in a mini version. Special mention goes to the made-to-order crêpe stand, set up in the heart of the dessert buffet, which promises a delightfully nostalgic treat to savor in the cozy, velvety comfort of the lounge. To round off this gourmet interlude in style, head to the garden, open to guests. There, you can enjoy a timeless moment in this hidden green oasis, with a direct view of the Eiffel Tower.

In short: Whether for a birthday, a special occasion, or simply to treat yourself, the Shangri-La Paris stands out as a must-visit destination for an exceptional Sunday brunch.
