Specializing in the discovery of cuisines from all over the world, the TasteAtlas website has compiled a list of the 100 lowest-rated dishes on the platform, according to the opinions of its users. And while French gastronomy is renowned the world over for its richness and flavors, it seems that some dishes are not to everyone’s taste. As proof of this, several specialities from the four corners of France feature on the list!
Which French dishes are among the worst in the world?
TasteAtlas is a comprehensive guide to gastronomy around the world, with countless dishes and cuisines from all over the world listed on the site and rated by web users. This often results in numerous rankings compiling the best recipes, the most popular cuisines and sometimes even the most legendary establishments worldwide, including this legendary Parisian restaurant.
But today, we’re not talking about gourmet dishes, but rather curiosities from the four corners of the globe, which are far from unanimous. We take a look at the 100 lowest-rated dishes on the platform. When it comes to French specialties, unfortunately for chauvinists, ficelle picarde is the least appreciated recipe, in 24th place in the top 100.
Other French specialties in the ranking include calf’s head, rabbit in cream sauce, andouillette, as well as endives with ham (the famous ones) and tripe à la mode de Caen. It’s a blow for these French recipes, but we’re still a long way from first place for Blodpalt, a Finnish specialty made from reindeer blood.
So, what do you think of this ranking? And what do you think are the worst dishes in the world?
