We talk a lot about cherry blossoms, but we often forget about wisteria. Yet these magnificent flowers, with their delicate purple hue, deserve every bit of praise. Their blooms, often spectacular, last barely a few weeks… While the Grand Mosque of Paris is definitely worth a visit for its cascades of wisteria, there is one park that deserves everyone’s attention: the Parc des Impressionnistes in Rueil-Malmaison.
The Impressionists’ Park in Rueil-Malmaison: a wisteria paradise
Surrounded by water and flowers, this magnificent park looks like something straight out of a masterpiece. And it is precisely in the spring, right now, that it is at its most enchanting. With its 250 varieties of flowers and multicolored perennials, the Parc des Impressionnistes will completely dazzle you.

The plant species were not chosen at random, as their colors are inspired by the palettes used by Impressionist artists. But it is above all for its wisteria—currently in full bloom—that it is truly worth a visit. You’ll find them all around the small wooden bridge, which has an almost Japanese-style charm.

A fabulous setting that will make you feel like you’re strolling through a painting. Wisteria is a very delicate, cascading flower, with a peak blooming period that lasts on average only 2 to 4 weeks. Right now, it’s the perfect time to photograph them from every angle. In fact, wisteria can also be seen in a very romantic square, little known to Parisians: the Marcel Bleustein Blanchet Square.
