After the cherry blossoms, which continue to color certain streets of Paris with their delicate pink, it’s time for the wisteria. These delicate, soft-purple flowers begin to bloom from mid-April through mid-May. A delightful sight that you can admire right now in some of Paris’s most beautiful spots… La Cité Fertile, Au Vieux Paris d’Arcole… But also at Marcel Bleustein Blanchet Square. A little haven of peace, just a few meters from Sacré-Cœur, that’s well worth a visit during this time of year.
Marcel Bleustein Blanchet Square: a wisteria paradise
If you want to escape the sometimes overwhelming crowds of Montmartre, we recommend visiting this tiny square located just a few steps from Sacré-Cœur. Built in terraces, it features various pleasant areas such as a pétanque court, a climbing wall for children, and several spots where you can stroll peacefully for most of the afternoon.

But the highlight of the show, and what really makes it worth visiting, is its grand hall, which is adorned every year with cascades of wisteria. Under its magnificent portico, you can admire these drooping flowers, so fragile and fleeting. A delightful sight to behold for free right now, and for just a few more days.
