A free green terrace just a stone’s throw from Paris
Designed by André Le Nôtre, who is also responsible for the famous gardens of the Palace of Versailles, among other things, this immense terrace has everything to impress you. Stretching 2 km long, it offers an absolutely breathtaking view of Paris, including a very clear view of the La Défense district as well as the Seine, which it overlooks from a height of more than 60 m. On a clear day, you can even make out the Eiffel Tower or Montmartre.
About thirty meters wide, the terrace is lined with seasonal flowers, which put on a particularly delightful show in the spring. A magnificent wrought-iron balustrade—which wasn’t there originally—runs its entire length, adding a touch of character and charm.
