More than 75 urban artists have taken their place within the galleries of the Petit Palais. The free exhibition, titled “We Are Still Here,” features contemporary works scattered throughout the permanent collection. This unconventional approach transforms the visit into a treasure hunt, inviting the public to spot often-discreet installations nestled among master paintings and period statues.
A free street art exhibition at the Petit Palais
The exhibition design constantly plays on visual contrast. As they round a corner in a hallway, visitors may catch a glimpse of small pixelated mosaics affixed to the walls, just a few centimeters away from master paintings. Other spaces feature larger pieces, such as two monumental white heads placed on the floor or a figure emerging from the frame of a painting. These unexpected combinations bridge the gap between artists of the past and today’s urban scene, integrating street art into one of Paris’s most prestigious museums.
The highlight of the tour is a vast room under a glass roof. Its walls have been entirely covered with a multitude of works featuring completely different styles, techniques, and colors. It is in this space that visitorswill find the highest concentration of artists participating in the event.
Among the works on display, the tour notably features a piece by the painter Seth. This painting directly echoes the installation he recently displayed on the steps and columns ofthe National Assembly.
Building on the success of the first installment held in 2024, this edition reinforces the place of urban art within Paris’s heritage sites. The exhibition *We Are Still Here* runs from June 20 to September 20, 2026.
