Enchantment alert! For the festive season, the Grand Hôtel Intercontinental Paris has teamed up with Repetto to make Parisians and visitors to the City of Light dream. In the heart of the hotel, magic lovers can admire exceptional tutus, iridescent tulles scattered here and there, as well as emblematic pointe shoes scattered all over the place. In the velvets of the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, the holiday spirit unfolds with unparalleled elegance. An enchanting interlude on the eve of the festive season, sublimated by a sumptuous scenography in a nod to the 150ᵉ anniversary of the Opéra Garnier.
Christmas pas de deux at L’Intercontinental: an ode to dance
For the occasion, Café de la Paix and Maison Repetto unveil their Bûche de Noël: a veritable jewel of delicacy, wonderfully named “L’Adage de la Rose”. A creation in powdery shades, in the shape of a ballet tutu, inspired by Sleeping Beauty and the emblematic Repetto tutu. Imagined by Chef Simon Letailleur, it perfectly combines mandarin-vanilla mousse, rosewater sponge cake, praline-pistachio crunch and mandarin-milk chocolate insert. And having tasted it, we can assure you that it’s one of the best Yule Logs of the year: perfect balance, play of textures and lightness on the palate.
A “tutu” log for the 150th anniversary of the Paris Opera and a Christmas tea party…
To complete the experience, l’Intercontinental offers its Grand Goûter de Noël: an exceptional tea time to be savoured next to the Repetto Christmas tree, under the immense glass roof bathed in light. On the menu: a mini version of the L’Adage de la Rose log, of course, but also a wide range of delicacies (festive cookies, orange marmalade with spices, “Ferme d’Étrez” double cream), a selection of sandwiches (duck foie gras, fruit chutney, lobster, etc.), and an assortment of pastries (Millefeuille, Opéra, etc.). All accompanied by a hot drink, in an exceptional setting.
A giant fir tree, nearly 7m high, decorated with Repetto slippers
And the highlight of the show: the giant fir tree, almost 7 metres high (6.70 m to be precise), which takes pride of place under the glass roof. Even more spectacular than in previous years, it is decked out in its finest dance finery: powder pink Repetto slippers, pink tulle pompoms, gold ornaments… A truly breathtaking decor.
