The winter sandwich in an affordable, gourmet recipe
To face the cold with a good dose of comfort, melted cheese is always a good idea. For as little as €3, you can treat yourself to an ultra-simple, gourmet version of the dish, and above all, one that’s more generous than what you’ll find in the shops.
Ingredients:
- Half a baguette, preferably a large one
- One red onion
- Bacon (plain or smoked, as preferred)
- A piece of raclette cheese
- A tablespoon of olive oil
Preparation:
- Using the handle of a utensil (a wooden spoon, for example), make a hole in the baguette and remove the crumb.
- Chop the onion
- In a frying pan over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion in the olive oil, then add the bacon until golden.
- Coarsely chop the cheese and add to the mixture until it melts.
- Pour the contents of the pan into the perforated baguette.
- Enjoy!
