With the return of summer, our favorite little escapades are back in fashion. After completing the 25 moguls circuit, considered one of the most famous in the region, we’re off to the south-east of the capital! Around the small town of Sucy-en-Brie and the Parc Départemental du Morbras, there’s a little loop of just over 10 kilometers, the ideal way to enjoy the greenery and peace of the surrounding area. So get your hiking boots and let’s go!
A highly peaceful hike just a stone’s throw from Paris
If the incessant hustle and bustle of the capital is starting to get on your nerves, why not treat yourself to a relaxing getaway with friends, family or just the two of you? Head for the Sucy-Bonneuil train station, which will serve as the starting and finishing point for this beautiful stroll. Mostly urban, this path is nonetheless filled with greenery, making for a peaceful getaway.
And yes, there are plenty of green spaces along the way to immerse you in a well-deserved sense of tranquillity. Parc du Morbras, Parc de la Garennière and even a short detour through the Forêt domaniale de Notre-Dame, nature lovers will find plenty to do on this route. Another highlight of the route? The entire section adjacent to the small Fontaine de Villiers stream, offering a tranquil panorama. You can also take advantage of your visit to Sucy en Brie to discover its shops, listed church and small businesses. After all that effort, why not reward yourself with an ice cream?
To complete this hike of just over 10 kilometers, you’ll need to allow an average of 2h30 for the journey. Easy to get to and with no difficulties whatsoever, this little escapade is suitable for everyone. It’s worth noting that most of these paths are isolated from traffic and therefore suitable for children. But be sure to check park opening times, especially in winter!
