While French cuisine can be proud of its variety of flavors and the quality of its ingredients, Asian cuisine has nothing to be ashamed of in comparison. From Japan to Thailand, China, and Korea, every dish takes your taste buds on a journey! And it’s true that in Paris, you can travel the world without ever boarding a plane. Today, we’re heading to Korea, to Woo Jung, the oldest Korean restaurant in Paris (and even in France). A spot that’s been open for nearly 50 years, inviting you to discover the true flavors of Korea.
The oldest Korean restaurant in France is in Paris
You’ll find this family-run restaurant in an elegant and refined setting in the heart of the 16th arrondissement. While the first location opened in the 13th arrondissement 50 years ago, food lovers can now indulge just a few steps from the Trocadéro. Here, you won’t find Korean “fast food” with melted cheese in every dish. At Woo Jung, you’ll only taste traditional dishes, prepared with love, some of which are not yet very well known in France.

Spicy and extra-fresh beef tartare, freshly grilled marinated beef, raw fish bibimbap, and a whole array of condiments that define the flavors of Korean cuisine, such as truly delicious homemade kimchi, sautéed vegetables, and more.
So yes, as you might expect given the neighborhood, prices will be slightly higher than in other districts of Paris. But the quality is definitely there! Everything is truly delicious and will make you want to come back! For us, it’s a favorite.
Location: 8 Bd. Delessert, 75016 Paris
