If you’re planning to celebrate the New Year in style in Paris, you should know that it will be possible to get around throughout the night of January 31 to 1, 2025. Not only the metros, but also the RER and Transiliens trains will be running non-stop all night long. So make the most of the festive season!
New Year: which metro lines will be open on the night of December 31 to January 1ᵉʳ?
Metro lines 1, 2, 4, 6, 9 and 14 will run all night on New Year’s Eve 2025 in Paris. But be warned, not all stops will be served. Details include:
- Line 1: Château de Vincennes, Nation, Gare de Lyon, Bastille, Châtelet, Concorde, Franklin D. Roosevelt, George V, Charles de Gaulle Étoile, Porte Maillot, Pont de Neuilly, Grande Arche de la Défense.
- Line 2: Nation, Père Lachaise, Belleville, La Chapelle, Barbés-Rochechouart, Anvers, Pigalle, Place de Clichy, Charles de Gaulle Étoile, Porte Dauphine.
- Line 4: Porte de Clignancourt, Barbès Rochechouart, Gare du Nord, Gare de l’Est, Strasbourg Saint-Denis, Les Halles, Châtelet, Saint-Michel, Gare Montparnasse, Denfert-Rochereau, Porte d’Orléans, Mairie de Montrouge, Bagneux-Lucie Aubrac.
- Line 6: Nation, Bercy, Place d’Italie, Denfert-Rochereau, Gare Montparnasse, Cambronne, La Motte Picquet-Grenelle, Bir-Hakeim, Trocadéro, Kléber, Charles de Gaulle-Étoile.
- Line 9: Mairie de Montreuil, Porte de Montreuil, Nation, Oberkampf, Strasbourg Saint-Denis, Grands Boulevards, Havre-Caumartin, Saint Augustin, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Alma-Marceau, Trocadéro, La Muette, Porte de Saint-Cloud, Pont de Sèvres.
- Line 14: where only Orly airport will not be served
Which RER and Transiliens trains will be in service on New Year’s Eve?
On the RER side, the A, B, C, D and E are also scheduled to run without interruption. While the RER A, B and E will serve all stations, the others will not.
- RER C will only pass through: Dourdan-la-Forêt, Étampes, Brétigny-sur-Orge, Juvisy, Pont de Rungis, Choisy-le-Roi, Gare d’Austerlitz, Invalides, Champ-de-Mars, Versailles Chantiers, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Ermont-Eaubonne.
- The RER D will serve the stations of : Creil, Goussainville, Saint-Denis, Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Gare de Lyon, Villeneuve Saint-Georges, Juvisy, Évry-Courcouronnes, Corbeil-Essonne, Melun.
For Transiliens trains, you can take lines H,J,L,N,P,R, which pass through all stations.
What about streetcars and Noctiliens?
Noctiliens will run as usual, i .e. from 0.30 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. approx. As for streetcars, only the T4 will be in service. It will run along the Bondy-Aulnay-sous-bois axis.
