Paris never fails to surprise and delight us! But its surroundings deserve just as much praise. Parks, nature reserves, remarkable gardens… walkers and nature lovers have plenty to explore! In fact, starting in June, a brand-new 110-hectare forest awaits residents of the Île-de-France region. An absolutely wonderful place, accessible with your Navigo pass.
The Bois du Piple: 110 hectares of nature on the outskirts of Paris

Just outside Créteil, in southern Val-de-Marne, a brand-new 110-hectare forest will open on June 20: the Bois du Piple. Previously closed to the public, this true green oasis offers a welcome change of scenery. It features a vast wooded area with century-old trees—some of which are protected—as well as expansive meadows and wetlands where animals and plants thrive.

This stunning forest estate surrounds the Château du Piple, a historic monument since 1975. In these woods, you’ll discover lush, unspoiled nature along the trails, as well as animals like fallow deer that have made their home here.
See you on June 20 to finally explore this new natural haven just a stone’s throw from Paris!
