Grand Siècle ambience at Château de Cheverny
Château de Cheverny was the first private château to open its doors to the public, back in 1922. Nestled in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France, the château is now a mecca of history and culture. A Grand Siècle atmosphere pervades the estate. Château tours, gardens as far as the eye can see, leisure activities for the whole family… A myriad of activities for young and old alike. With the arrival of summer, the Château also unveils its Flower Festival and Spring Festival. Not to mention half a million multicolored tulips, the promise of a dreamy floral getaway.
Edit from Château de Cheverny, following heavy autumn rains
This autumn and winter, the weather has been capricious. Despite the heavy rains, which unfortunately damaged some bulbs, the ribbon of tulips still put on a colorful show. And mid-April is the ideal time to admire this mosaic of tulips of many varieties, including double tulips, lily-flowered tulips and fringed tulips. For Easter, egg and rabbit sculptures have been installed in the garden, enough to delight your toddlers this weekend!
