Just 30 minutes from the capital, the Parc du Docteur Fauvel, located in Villennes-sur-Seine in the Yvelines, is a true haven of peace.

As you stroll through the park , you’ll discover an astonishing green oasis, with undulating terrain, home to remarkable trees, and playing with the elements . Between its majestic trees, its flower-filled groves, and its almost natural look, the park’s atmosphere is simply magical, worthy of a fairy tale.
Your getaway will undoubtedly lead you to a lush, moss-covered grotto with peaceful waterfalls. A truly wonderful landscape, but entirely artificial! This grotto, fully restored in 2021, actually has a twin sister located in the Bois de Boulogne. During heat waves, the grotto—entirely surrounded by water—provides a refreshing escape. A small eco-friendly touch worth noting: the water from the waterfalls is reused to water the plants and flowers in the village.

Between the lapping of the three waterfalls, the small crystal-clear lakes, and the streams winding through the moss, the illusion of a fairy-tale setting is complete. Be warned, while the cave is very photogenic, it remains closed to the public! A magnificent spot, perfect for all Parisians seeking peace and quiet.
