
This year, the Louvre begins a new chapter in its history by opening up to haute couture. From January 24 onwards, an exhibition dedicated to fashion will present nearly sixty key outfits from the greatest fashion houses , including Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana. In the same vein, an exceptional dinner will be held under the vaults of the Cour Marly on March 4. Entitled “Le Grand Dîner du Louvre”, this highly select event will bring together emblematic figures from the worlds of art, fashion and design in Paris. A Met Gala à la Française? Le Grand Dîner au Louvre: prestigious guests expected…
For this very private evening, we already know that 300 hand-picked guests will be invited. Although no names are yet known, we can well imagine prestigious guests such as designers Simon Porte Jacquemus and Olivier Rousteing… Patrons, actors and fashion and lifestyle influencers, such as Léna Situations, could also take part.

As for the program, several rumors are circulating! Guests may have the chance to discover the Louvre and its fashion exhibition on a private tour, before enjoying a delicious Michelin-starred dinner. An after-party would also be organized under the Louvre’s iconic pyramid…
In any case, according to the museum, all the guests turned out for this chic and historic event.
Le Grand Dîner au Louvre: the French Met Gala?
As with the Met Gala, the museum intends to raise funds during this prestigious evening. These donations will be used to finance the museum’s cultural activities, such as its conservation, exhibition and educational projects!
