What would the gastronomic scene be without its awards, distinctions and other rankings? It’s an understatement to say that these ceremonies and social gatherings are highly prized in the industry! La Liste, the ultimate list of the world’s best restaurants
This week, La Liste unveils its ranking of the world’s best restaurants… in its entirety! La Liste, in short, is the list of lists, the ultimate top that synthesizes all the other rankings, articles, opinions and reviews published on 35,000 restaurants in 200 countries! In short, if you had to keep just one ranking to choose an excellent restaurant, this is it!
This week, La Liste unveiled its rankings, and don’t miss out: 1,000 restaurants around the world were rated out of 100 and singled out! France managed to place a good hundred establishments, or 10%, in this ranking (1st cock-a-doodle-doo) as well as two institutions in first place ex-aequo with a score of 99.5/100 (2nd cock-a-doodle-doo). And for Parisians, it’s worth noting that one of these top restaurants is located in the capital, and has been honored on numerous occasions!
So which French restaurants got the highest marks?
We find the indestructible Guy Savoy restaurant (in the 6th arrondissement), named best table in the world for the 8th year running! This institution confirms, if proof were needed, its status as one of the world’s most exceptional restaurants! “It’s the roller coaster,” declared chef Guy Savoy on his Instagram account!
Another French establishment is also among the big winners, namely La Vague d’Or – Cheval Blanc. To enjoy it, head to Saint-Tropez.
And where are the other number 1 restaurants in the world? Chinese, German, Japanese, American and British restaurants were also tied for first prize… All of which adds up to a comprehensive list of the world’s most exceptional restaurants!
