In the heart of rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, Christophe and Seb work behind the stove every day to offer local residents original creations rich in taste. At Ficelle, we’ve opted for sourced ingredients and a simple concept seen nowhere else, centered around the mini-sandwich. To give you a taste of what’s to come, we tested out this popular neighborhood spot!
With Ficelle, the 10th district gets its benchmark sandwich shop
Metzger, Seguin, Beillevaire: the big names follow one another when you look at the details of Ficelle’s menu. Indeed, great attention is paid to suppliers and their products, which make up the fifteen or so recipes on the menu. As the name suggests, the sandwiches here are made from ficelle, a thin version of the baguette, but just as gourmet. Delivered daily from Lalos, it’s baked on the premises to guarantee a crisp edge every hour of the day.
When it comes to recipes, you can count on exceptional fillings from quality local suppliers. While all the recipes have their merits, our favorite is the Marcel with white ham and truffle gouda. Otherwise, we also set our sights on the Henri with simmental beef or the Suzanne with tarama. And to round off the meal on a sweet note, count on the hyper-regressive versions of Maurice and Lucien, respectively with chocolate spread and chocolate from Pralus.
And if you can’t decide, the strength of the string means you can opt for several recipes at once. In fact, this is the basic concept behind the trio formula, allowing you to vary your pleasures and satisfy your hunger with ease. Perfect for a quality breakfast break!
