A new club has been added to the capital’s plethora of nightclubs. In the heart of the Caserne, a club with a long history, Essaim will open its doors on October 31. A nightclub designed by the same teams as the famous Concrete.
Essaim follows in Concrete’s footsteps
If you keep a close eye on nightlife in Paris, you’ll no doubt have seen the opening of Carbone, followed by that of club Bisou. Located in the basement of the Caserne in the 10th arrondissement, these two clubs kept Parisians dancing one after the other for several months. It’s also here that the closest thing to the Concrete spirit is likely to be reborn. Five years after the closing, Brice Coudert, former artistic director of the club moored on the Seine, is about to inaugurate his next project, Essaim.
The rendezvous is set for October 31, and every weekend thereafter, in the basement of the former fire station. A new, minimalist nightclub in which 400 people can tap their feet to the beat of the BPM. Redesigned by architect Dorothée Hachiken, this white-tiled, neon-painted space is ready to welcome many a night owl.
In terms of programming, we can count on the club to present techno artists, from the most renowned to up-and-coming talents, with a particular emphasis on spotting the latter. And whatever the case, we can of course count on a top-quality sound system. In short, all the ingredients are there!
