Always a source of enthusiasm and curiosity, the theme of Ancient Egypt is likely to stir the crowds once again in Paris this summer. In fact, a major exhibition dedicated to the famous Cleopatra VII will be taking place in Paris this summer. Mark your calendars, the most famous of Egyptian queens will be in the spotlight at the Institut du Monde Arabe from June 11, 2025 to January 11, 2026, for a major exhibition.
An exhibition on the Cleopatra myth soon to open in Paris
Following successful exhibitions dedicated to Tutankhamun and Ramses II, as well as an immersive retrospective on the pharaohs at the Atelier des Lumières, ancient Egypt is once again set to enliven the cultural landscape of Paris. In 2025, it will be Cleopatra’s turn to focus all the attention, thanks to a beautiful exhibition dedicated to the myth that surrounds her. The date is set for mid-2025, and we’re already looking forward to it.
The last queen of the Ptolemy dynasty, and one of the most famous female figures in history, Cleopatra continues to fascinate and evoke mystery, not least because her tomb has still not been found. A veritable myth has grown up around Cleopatra, and this is precisely the subject of the forthcoming exhibition. The Institut du Monde Arabe will take stock of the historical and archaeological knowledge surrounding this historic figure, and present us with an exhibition that will finally lift the veil on him.
All we have to do now is wait patiently until next year to find out a little more about what this exhibition has in store for us.
