Opened in the spring of 2026 in the former Bricorama building, the Ci’Ney now allows visitors to watch a movie, have lunch, enjoy a drink, or attend a concert all in the same venue, right in the heart of the 18th arrondissement. The project occupies 1,500 square meters and doesn’t really resemble typical multiplexes.
Ci’Ney, a new neighborhood movie theater in the 18th arrondissement
The two theaters have 85 and 89 seats, respectively, with tickets priced between 4 and 9 euros. The lineup gives pride of place to independent films, documentaries, world cinema, and screenings aimed at young audiences. Meet-and-greets, previews, and special events regularly complement the regular screenings.
Since opening, the venue has already hosted screenings followed by discussions with directors, a film club centered on *Do the Right Thing*, and a screening accompanied by a Korean buffet. Ci’Ney also features a recording studio, a post-production space, a multipurpose hall with a stage, and a rehearsal studio.

The project’s origins trace back to La Sierra Prod, a nonprofit organization based in the neighborhood since 2008. It previously organized temporary screenings and had long sought to establish a permanent movie theater in the northern part of the 18th arrondissement, where options remained limited.
A restaurant, bar, and grocery store are also part of the Ci’Ney’s offerings
For food lovers, the restaurant La Table de Cana serves lunch daily, as well as dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, with a menu that changes weekly. The bar opens at 5:30 p.m., while a grocery store offers seasonal fruits and vegetables, bulk items, and locally sourced products at various price points.
A shared kitchen, managed by the Salvation Army Foundation, also allows hotel guests who lack kitchen equipment to prepare their own meals. A branch of the Mission Locale also supports young people aged 16 to 25 in their job searches and projects related to careers in the cultural sector.
Just a stone’s throw from the Angélique Compoint tram stop, the Ci’Ney brings much more than just a new movie theater to the neighborhood. It’s a place where you can come for an affordable movie, stay for a meal, and stumble upon a concert or a gathering that same evening.
