Having celebrated the holidays, it’s now the turn of the Chinese calendar to undergo its own revolution. A host of activities, including the traditional traditional parade will be taking place all over the capital. At the Musée Cernuschi, one of the beating hearts of Asian culture, a very special weekend is in store for the festivities…
A weekend of free events at the Musée Cernuschi
Every year, the Chinese New Year brings color and joy to the streets of Paris. Traditional parades, themed walks and gourmet cuisine: the capital’s entire Asian heritage is in tune for this special moment! And among the institutions celebrating the Orient in Paris, the Musée Cernuschi will be pulling out all the stops with a superb weekend of free events.
On February 1 and 2, the Lunar New Year celebrations will take over this institution in the heart of Paris. The program includes a visit to the permanent collections and the exhibition “Lê Phô, Mai-Thu, Vu Cao Dam Pioneers of Modern Vietnamese Art in France”.
First of all, both days will begin with the musical Conte Mon Royaume pour un plat with Isabelle Genlis and Hô Thuy Trang. And to continue the festivities, don’t miss the brilliant snake-themed creative workshop , where you can learn to draw and, why not, be inspired by the friezes that adorn the museum’s halls. Finally, on Saturday at 4pm, take part in a magnificent traditional lion dance!
All in all, it’s a must for all lovers of Asian culture. With family, friends or just the two of you, it’s a great way to get out and about, and it’s completely free!
