La Maison de l’Océan: an iconic Parisian landmark
Founded in 1911 by the Prince of Monaco, the Maison de l’Océan aims to promote and develop knowledge of the oceans. With its style, albeit atypical in the heart of Paris’ Vᵉ arrondissement, of an Italian Renaissance palace, it’s the perfect place to share a moment of musical culture. Architectural details and paintings, sublimated by candlelight, harmonize to create a unique ambience.
National Institute for Young Blind People
The Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles (National Institute for Young Blind People), founded in 1785, offered the first model of schooling and learning adapted for the visually impaired. It did not occupy the building we know today until 1844. Right in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, the building is a listed historic monument, and its concert hall, with its exceptional acoustics (hearing being a privileged sense in this school), hosts numerous musical events.
Candlelight concerts are set to turn the capital upside down once again, with each venue more incredible than the last, immersed in a sea of candles and classical music. This magic formula has made these concerts a popular activity, and a success all over the world.
Put on your best evening wear or your most comfortable jogging suit, and let yourself be carried away by a magical hour of music.
